Configuring Ethernet Adapter

To establish a communication link between the Air Unit and Ground Unit, the Ethernet adapter on the ground control station must be properly configured. Follow these steps:

  1. Open Network Settings:

    • Go to Network and Sharing Center on the ground control station machine.
    • Click on Change Adapter Settings.

  2. Configure the Ethernet Adapter:

    • When an Ethernet device, such as the Ground Unit, is connected, you will see an Ethernet connection icon.
    • Right-click the icon and select Properties.
    • Then, right-click Internet Protocol Version 4 and click on Properties.
    • Select Use the following IP address and input the following IP addresses:

Configuration Result​

By following the steps above, you have configured the ground control station's Ethernet adapter to always point to the smart radio network (192.168.168), with the following settings:

  • Device ID 13 assigned to the Ground Unit.
  • Default Gateway: Device ID 12 (Air Unit).
